The Chest freezer

Honestly our chest freezer has been a god send. We’ve managed to save so much money buying frozen food in bulk and using it throughout the month. Now our food shop is split into sections.

The freezer shop - this costs us around £100-£120 per month. We stock up mainly on frozen meat, frozen vegetables.

The weekly - this costs us £20 per week. We use this to buy milk, cheeses, yogurts. We don’t buy bread items as I tend to make them myself. We also make fresh pizzas ourselves.

So on average our food shop for a family of 5 costs on average around £200 per month. We do this in cash, that way any savings we’ve made goes straight into our Christmas fund!
